Govt starts 6 month study of new internet technology IPv6

There's a story on this in the November edition of CPU (Computer Power User). It's a computer mag that's edited by some Indian (I think) guy who just got married. I think he runs a tech web site too.

Anand?

Yes, it's Anand. The magazine is a cut or two above the ordinary "How to Make Your Desktop Yours" mag. It has some fairly serious articles.

IPv6 extends the address length to 128 bits, or around 340 billion billion billion billion unique addresses.

I think that is enough to last the world wide web and the DOD a very, very long time.😉
