The U.S. Forest Service on Friday published a nearly 700-word article on how to safely roast marshmallows, all in preparation for Saturday, which is National Roasted Marshmallow Day.
As one might expect, the article is riddled with safety tips that might make you think twice about even carrying matches into the forest at all, let alone actually igniting a marshmallow and putting your family’s life at risk.

Only the fucking government could publish a 700 word article on how to roast a flipping marshmallow.

what's the big deal?

this constitutes 'riddled with safety tips' to that article:

First, let’s talk safety. Never start a campfire when there are fire restrictions in place. The restrictions are put in place for your safety and for the safety of others. If campfires are allowed, use an existing fire ring or pit. Be sure you are at least 15 feet from tent walls, trees or other flammable objects.

Most importantly, ensure you work closely with children and talk to them about fire danger, proper behavior and rules – then expect nothing less. No one knows how many children are burned in campfire incidents; however, you don’t need statistics to know precaution is a key to great camping experiences. Some experts advocate a 10-foot rule between young children and a campfire. For more information about campfire safety, let Smokey Bear guide you.

What's the outrage? Did you even read your own link?

-part waxing poetic about camping and smores
-part camp fire safety tips (exact same ones kids got in boy scouts)
-part recipe ideas for parents. Good ideas and can cut down on the sugar. Considering we have to sleep in the tent with them, this is hardly some commie pinko idea.

Oh, but it was published by .gov, not food.com or bsa.org, ergo stupid and evil and destroying America and adding $1T more of Chinese money to the debt....
