OK, the government mandates airbags in vehicles to protect occupants. Makes sense, simply because the work, and save lives and prevent or reduce serious injury.
However, the government also mandates that they must protect the stupid that do not buckle up. The addition of knee airbags is one attempt to allow vehicles to pass the government safety tests for unbuckles dummies. I guess "dummies" applies twofold here, the human shaped plastic dummies filled with sensors, and the fucking idiots that don't wear a seatbelt.
The real pisser in this is that these knee airbags are causing more severe leg injury to belted drivers than they would have suffered without the knee airbag.

The stupid won't get vaccinated,
The stupid won't wear a seatbelt, resulting in the government mandate that endangers the rest of us.

What's the purpose of knee airbags? I was in an accident that resulted in the knee airbag doing major damage to my left leg.
