Government conspiracies

Personally, I don't believe in many government conspiracy theories. I find it amusing that many of the people who usually do believe in them accuse those who don't of "believing anything the government says", while in truth they will believe anything that allegedly involved a government conspiracy.

I believe that:

We landed on the moon
No UFO ever landed in Roswell
Elvis is dead
An airplane hit the Pentagon
Bush did not know about 9/11 in advance

Here are 2 cases where I believe the government did conspire to hide evidence:

JFK assasination (speaks for itself)
TWA Flight 800 (I cannot discount 200 eyewitnesses)

I do not know enough about TWA Flight 800 to comment, but I agree with the OP on everything, although I do not think that the government plotted to kill JFK.

Well, I think the UFOs the mexican military guys saw a year or two back were US airplanes of some sort, violating foreign airspace. And I do believe the war in Vietnam was nothing more than a cover for US politicians to sink some incredible amount of taxpayers' money right into their pockets.

JFK was assasinated by 1 person, Lee Harvey Oswald and TWA 800 blew up due to a spark in the empty center fuel tank.

I can buy that Oswald acted alone, but there are just too many questions, and the Warren Report was too obviously a sham. But I can accept another argument. However with TWA 800, over 200 people saw a streak of light travelling upward at the aircraft before it exploded. I cannot write that off.

Lennon and Kennedy were assasinated by the government. TWA Flight 800 was probally shot down by a terrorist group, but I don't think the government has enough information to come to that conclusion and is not trying to hide anything. The rest, I cannot comment. My Dad and I used to spend a bit of time researching Kennedy and Lennon's assasinations and he has given me his take on flight 800 (he was a higher-up in the air force at one point). Interestingly enough, he does think something big is being researched at area 51. Potentially something that could change the world, he believes it has to do with mind control. Alas, though, no aliens.

Lennon was easily one of the most powerful people in the country for a good part of his life. A very large number of people believed what he said and he had a tremendous political influence. The FBI had extensive files on Lennon, and tried constantly to have him deported. His murder was extremely unusual, and there is a very good reason, in my opinion, to believe he was assasinated by our government.

If JFK was assasinated by 1 guy, why is there STILL classified evidence?

If a plane really did hit the pentagon, why is there only a terrible quality 2-frame video which shows an explosion but no plane (rest of the video is also classified)?

Elvis & JFK live in my basement along w/ the Flight 93 passengers. My basement is also where the moon landings were filmed. Are there any more questions?

I believe that while 9/11 was not orchestrated by the govt, some factions of the govt did know about it and let it happen. Why? Iraq War, Patriot Act, etc..
