Schwarzenegger commissioned the sculptures -- at least one of which depicts him as extremely buff, in a bodybuilder pose -- from an Oregon company.

that particular statue pic'ed looks completely rediculous. Hulk feet and the face doesnt even resemble him imo.
I think they better just do a Conan statue of him and be done with it, anything else just wouldnt look right

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. This reads like you're trying to insult him...but he was a bodybuilder 40+ years ago, I would assume he wouldn't look the same anymore. In fact, I would be concerned if the governor of California spent enough time in the gym to look like classic Arnold...

...basically, what's your point, sport?

Lol trying to insult him? Not really.Arnold is a great business man but he's a bit of a joke in many other respects and it's not just me saying that but pop culture in general. Just look at all the comedy skits about him. I'm sure there have been worse governers but from what I understand his governing skills were only a few steps above his acting skills. Again he IS a legend but more as a money maker and Hollywood icon than anything else. And I wasn't aware that Arnold needed defending. My point was basically the same as the OPs, pointing out how silly it sounds to commission 8 superhuman looking statues on oneself. I'm sure there is a non silly explanation but I wasn't aware this thread was supposed to be serious.

The thing is I think they might actually look ok, still silly by okay, once some patina and pigeon shit builds up on them, which isn't what you actually mean. :\
 
I thought some of the proportions were off too... lol. It looks kinda odd.
 
How many people get a statue commissioned of themselves? Let alone 7? He must love himself a lot.
