I think rain was predicted so it's a good time to pray for it, no? And besides, what else can a useless piece of shit like him do anyway? It's not like Texas has an ocean to desalinate and a desert to provide the solar power to do it.

Should we pray for rain before ofter cutting the fire department's budget?

Or should we pray for rain after the lefties in the EPA said we couldn't take proactive measures to prevent these type of wildwires from growing out of control.

We're spending 3.8 TRILLION dollars a year at the federal level. Are we honestly saying we can't afford firefighters for 3.8 trillion? Add 100's billions more at the state level and local level. Yes, the problem is that the fire department had to take a 3% cut in its budget.

Perhaps he can have them pray for a good Governor, too, while they're at it...

Are you suggesting we shouldn't cut taxes and shouldn't pray?

Is there a cost to praying? Unless he's saying not to do anything other than praying, why is there a problem? Even Obummer said he was going to pray for peace in the middle east. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Pay me and I'll think about praying. Otherwise, go to the back of the line with all the other yoyos asking me for things.

Silly religious people. Yes, there is an opportunity cost to praying. But as long as their not decapitating in the name of Allah I can live with it.

I'm not really sure what the problem with this is.

What does it hurt, other than a few atheists feelings?

Apparently they do.
They do, they really really do. Well, maybe not conservative or libertarian atheists, but certainly progressive atheists care, because any call to a deity is a refutation of the progressive's view of himself as center of the universe and highest possible life form.

You do know you have that backwards, most religions place themselves as the center of the universe and their followers as the highest possible life form.

Ever hear of the Cargo Cults? Some would argue that it precisely the reason the economy is now in the dump.

Not bad. Now if he went to a Casino and asked the Staff to Dance for Rain, well.
