Why doesn't the Republican Party make an effort to purge themselves from people like this guy? This isn't the first time PLP has dabbled in overt bouts of racism. The GOP is to continue to make their home as uncomfortable for minorities as possible yet continue to say "we want to be inclusive.
He was just recently re-elected. Why didn't the party put all their resources behind someone else?

Well, you can look at it like this, someone was beatening you about the head in one place, turned you over to another guy that beat you but eventually stopped. However in the ORINIGAL place you were at, the beatings wouldn't have stopped and you now have AIDS. Would you be thankful? 😉

Keep in mind there's a lot of old people there, it's cold, and they drink a lot. Ripe for nativism, as the Somali have found out. I voted for someone else his first time around, have always been an Angus King kinda guy. Then I decided to raise kids somewhere else.
 
Blacks, Irish, and Christians absolutely should be thankful to white people, they've done the best to outlaw slavery. There are still many countries around the world that haven't outlawed it, and Saudi Arabia only did so in 1962 because of pressure from civilized countries (though they still allow it):

No, you fucking moron. All races have practiced slavery, whites/Caucasians/Western Europeans are the only ones to completely abolish it's practice in countries they control. The ones you should be angry with are those that still practice it, or those that ran the biggest slave trades of them all (moslems).

You seem to think that Britain's old colonies should be thankful for their subjugation. Why wouldn't you carry that over to slavery?
