Hi everyone,

I got in an arguement with some of my friends today and it boiled down to this:

1) is it illegal to wear slippers when driving? How much clothing do you have to wear? For guys, can they have their tops off, and for girls can they have a two piece on? (my question pertains to california law if it makes a difference)

2) What the heck does A* mean [replace superscript star for degree sign or naught sign (if math)]? I say its Angstroms, but I'm no chem major. Also, does anyone know what value does it hold? I remember somthing like 1.8blah x10-8, but again I'm not sure. Thanks

 for helping me out :)

two questions...two topics....no waiting.

;)

As for #1...if it's illegal for a guy to drive with no shirt...uhh...a lot of 'criminals' in California. For women to drive topless...probably 'indecent exposure' if caught. Driving w/slippers probably not illegal.

#2...no ideer.

Slippers might be equated to no footwear at all, which I'm pretty sure in most states is illegal.

if it is an A with a o on TOP of it, not like the degree sign, then it is indeed Angstroms. If it is next to it like the degree sign, then I dont know.

It's illegal to drive with slippers in the Phillippines.

Really? Heh..

How do they propose you get caught doing that? That's probably one of the stupidest laws I've ever heard. I know lots of people that slip their sandals off when they're driving.

The A with a naught above it is an Angstrom. An Angstrom unit is 10^-10 meters.

hehe, one of my friend supposed that say you do get pulled over by a cop for whatever it may be (speeding, swerving, etc.) the cop usually looks in to nail you for other things (ie. pot, drugs, etc. ) and that's when they might get you...

Again, if its illegal which as of now we have not determined.

No shirt for guys = fine. All you have to have on is a thong.
Girls have to cover nipples and have a thong on.

No shoes is legal in VA, and slippers will still be considered footwear in other states, so... legal.

Å is indeed Angstrom

I think this might boil down to the definition of "slippers".

Flip-Flops may be a no no, but I don't think you would have any problem with these.
