Gotta Love Verizon....

Not only do they erase all my Voice mail when I get a new phone...

Not only do they Sign me up for a 2 year contract when I ASKED FOR A 1 YEAR CONTRACT...

Not only do they erase my phone number...

Not only do they have no idea my account is so fvked up...(no voicemail, so calling?!/)

Not only did they make me spend 30min+ on the phone with tech support...

hmm...I thought I had a point here but I guess I forgot it  I know I was in the middle of a rush of unstoppable rage, but I guess it has passed...

At least now I can use my Nokia 6015i !

<--customer beaten into submission😕

...youre the one who signed the contract.

ive got verizon, never had any trouble, more than extremely satisfied with em. In short: I own.

Heh..that's the "thing."

I got a link on my verizon wireless page to upgrade my phone. ( have been out of a 2 year contract that expired last november) I assumed they would ask me about renewing my contract, but in the end, I had bought only th e phone.

Before I bought it by submitting my order, I called them and they let me know that I needed to go to a Verizon store to sign a contract. Once at the store, the guy clicked a few things on his computer. I didn't have to sign anything.😕

The compnay is quite good. In this case a store employee is the one who put me in line for recieving all this sh!t.

According to the tech rep., I will rack up $100s and hundreds of $$ this month since my plan is FUBAR. THey wil lredo the plan at my next billing cycle however, and will have it all fixed, crediting me for everything my contract actually gives me (450min anytime etc).

Ill psot my bill when I get it...that should make for a good laugh😛

Actually, the tech support said he would call the store and chew them out for me😱

I thanked him for saving me the trip:thumbsup:

EDIT: I'll remain calm as long as humanly possible. If anything breaks loose then they have NO RECOURSE WHATSOEVER.

None of that "please calm down sir..." 😀

That's the thing though. The salesperson is the front end of the company since they are in direct contact with customers. They are the ones who initially create the impression of a good company through good honesty, patronage and to provide client with comfort with their service.

When I signed up for my cell phone, I was outright LIED to by my salesperson when I noticed my first bill. I too asked for a 1 year contract but got a 2 year instead. My salesperson also added a bunch of features I did not ask for and gave me a completely inaccurate estimate of my average monthly bill as long as I didn't go over my minutes or used roaming etc.

The other problems I'm having is with their billing cycle bullsh*t. It seems that whenever I pay my bill with my debit card ON-TIME by more than 5 days before the due date of the bill, it doesn't get posted until the end of the next month! That means that their system automatically slaps me with a $5 late fee.

When I call them I have to wait half an hour until I reach some jerkoff who thinks they're hot sh*t and provide me with endless unhelpful company policy bullsh*t. Then the idiot has the nerve to ask me if I want to upgrade to Verizon DSL.

F*ck this company.

never had a problem with VZW

parents have been customers since the late 80s (i think it was airtouch back then)

If your signature is not on it, you are not legally bound to any Verizon Wireless contract.

I've had problems with VZW in the past with them "pro rating" minutes when I change my package. But they were always quick to correct any problem situation.

All told though, their CS is quite good. In my area, VZW has the most reliable service, and widest coverage area for a cellular service.

BTW I do not deal with the local stores. I talk to Verizon directly, and order any phones from the VZW website.

My 2¢ 🙂

I've never had a problem with Verizon.

You should blame yourself for not verifying that the contract was for 1 year and not 2 years. How did you expect Verizon to transfer your phone numbers from your old phone to your new phone? 😕 The phone numbers are on the phone's memory, not on a SIM card. From the way I look at it, Verizon is not at fault here.

tonight I found out Verizon hooks up to something called "extended network" which is similar to roaming in concept, but free. However, the minutes used under this "extended network" do not show up if you check your minutes used online or via text message. They are compiled by the 3rd parties and sent to VZW after the statement month is over, so if you are over your peak minutes with the extended network usage, you are screwed into paying extra for those minutes you never saw online. Typically if you don't go over, you never notice or care about these...

Long story short, we had gone over by 70 minutes and owe .45c per minute. How do you avoid using "extended network" towers ? Update your roaming capabilities often (that particular phone hadn't done so since 2003). *228... do it now. We were able to get a partial credit from them though.

BTW, customer-service-wise... VZW is still the best.

I have had excellent service from Verizon from the moment that I first signed on with them. I have never complained about them before, and have actually defended them on numerous ocassions. That said, what you said is pure bullsh!t😛

Of course it is up to the consumer to reset their phones. I followed activation to a "T," and even the Tech guy confirmed that. For 50% of the call, the guy get on saying "what the...someone really made a mistake here." This was clearly a major mistake on their part, and Verizon the organization, and not "Bob" at the Verizon store, handled it extremely well.

As for verifying my contract, where does it end? Should I never ever ever trust a company? Some pesimists might agree with that statement, but Verizon has earned my trust, and for the msot part, still has it. I clearly asked the fellow at the store why there wasn't any paperwork. He told me not to worry about it, that it was automaticallly taken care of, and that I would get the paperwork in the mail. That said, I could have looked into it thoroughly, but I wouldn't say I was wreckless in taking the word of an employee of a company that I have trusted for many years.

And yes, I went over the contract in detail when I signed the 2 year contract 2 years ago. I truested them, and one employee blew it. Blaming me is quite ignorant.....

..imho😀
