Look at the magical journey my package went on just to make it from my dad's house less that 30 miles away. To top it off the package was ripped open and a capacitor was missing.

So the package was accidently dropped into a CA shipment box.

IF this happened continually, then it is an issue.
A one shot; no big deal.

You are not perfect; how would you expect a government run organization to be.

I had a very similar experience with a UPS package,it left California headed for Arkansas and went as far as Texas before making a trip back to Los Angeles where it sat for 3 days on a departure scan then it arrived earlier then the eta without any updates.....

Every time i order a package usually off newegg i am sitting outside on my porch like a dog waiting for a meal, they come about 4pm like clockwork but i take no chances and give it a 2 hour sit from 3pm till 5pm.:p

I didn't even call them about it. I know it happens from time to time. Relax buddy. I just thought some people would like to see it.

probably something to do with the fact that it was being sent to phoenix. someone probably only read that far and threw it in a west coast shipment.

Had similar problem with Fedex Ground, sent a package on 9/7, didn't arrive till 9/18. Fedex told me they had an internal error. The package was going from PA to NJ, about a 90-min ride.

This might explain why they never had detailed tracking until recently

I doubt anyone wanted to see it given that there is usually one of these every week. And each time the OP thinks his situation is unique, funny, or completely outrageous.

Don't assume that the tracking info is accurate as to where the package actually went.

I think their package services have gotten quite a bit better in just the last few months. Priority mail deliveries are getting to me in 2 days or less and standard first class packages are taking 3 days or less.

I really can't complain. Keep it up USPS!

I shipped a package with one frisbee and it was light enough for first class, but I shipped a package with two frisbees and the weight put me over the first class cutoff so it cost more than twice as much to ship exactly twice as much mass. A disparity so outrageous I very nearly cared.

I think frisbees should get a special discount because they're designed to fly.

All I know is that UPS dropped the package off to USPS in Dallas 13 days ago, and I still don't have it. I'll take their word for it being in MA.

Sold a harmony remote to someone in FS/T several years ago and shipped it via UPS. The package bounced back and forth between CA and IL several times before finally being delivered after about a month. Called UPS multiple times and they always claimed there wasn't anything they could do and it would get there "soon".
