On the way to work I always listen to a hip hop station because they have this comedian call in every morning at about 8:45 and he does celebrity gossip or just tells some funny stories about current events or a day in his life.

So today he called in and was talking about the 3 year old on the plane who's parents could not control her and he went on and on about what she was doing on the plane (exagerating of course for comedic effect), and I knew exactly where this was going ...

about a minute later, he said what I knew was coming ... "Donnie ... and you KNOW these people were some white folk! Thank god for some white folk! They jump out of planes, swim with sharks, swim with the polar bears, blow up buildings, but they are scared of their own damn children!"

He then went on and did the classic proper speaking white person saying what they were probably saying to their child ... "Sweetheart, please sit down, we are about to take off" ... "Darling, if you don't sit down properly, we won't let you go to your private school when we arrive home".

Now if this was some white DJ and white person calling in, doing the opposite type of stereotypical stuff about black people, I'm sure it would be taken as racist. But since it was for a prodominantly black audience, it was okay.

Aaaaah how I love the double standards of racism in this country!

Needless to say, i was laughing my ass off because I know that stereotypes exist for a reason, and even I knew where he was going with the joke before he finished it. These types of jokes don't really bother me at all, when they go either way, but it's just funny how these double standards exist.

lol, I would have loved to hear that on the radio, I realize kids can be hard to control when they're young, but it's not something new that should be such a big issue that you get thrown off a plane for, parents need to learn to control their kids
 
Here's a double standard that I'll get flamed for: there's a reason why whites are who/where they are, and there's a reason why blacks are who/where they are.

Yea heh it was pretty damn funny 😀

I don't listen to the radio at all really, aside from between 8:40 - 9:00 on the way to work, just for this phone call that comes in heh.
 
Ever listen to howard stern? He will do the stereotypical stuff about black people but I wouldnt label him as a racist.

There is a double standard in this country when it comes to racial issues. Get used to it, its not going to change anytime soon.

The guy is right though.. the white parents might say "sweetheart, please sit down.."

You know what a black parent might do (not SAY, but DO). They would SMACK their kids and strap them down themselves. I've seen black kids in malls and stuff, freaking animals running around, and the parents just get really violent with them, It's kinda funny to watch 🙂 🙂

Why does that change things?

Because nobody will go after a Jew for being a racist, because they can pull the anti semite racism card, and they have been persecuted since the dawn of the time, yadda yadda yadda. Racial double standards there again too. The fact that Howard Stern does poke fun at Blacks and nothing happens should indicate that. Just because Jews are whiter than blacks, does not mean they are white. Ask any Jew.
 
Screaming kids on an airplane are the only way us honkeys can get revenge for not being able to hear ourselves think at the college cafeteria.

double standards will always exist unfortunately.

i just wish people would realize and acknowledge that we are different instead of making us all out to be the same or else something is wrong with the picture.
