Here's my rigs new configuration:

Asus P4P800
P4 2.4C @ 3.01 w/ retail hsf
512 MB Corsair XMS TwinX PC3200 (2x256)
Western Digital Raptor hdd
Toshiba 16x/40x DVD-Rom
Lite-on 52x24x52x cd-rw
Zip100
Radeon 9200 128MB

I am using the retail hsf so far with 1.6v to boot and run in WinXP at 3.01 GHz. I just ordered the new Lucite cover for my AMD Maze3 waterblock from Dangerden. As soon as it shows up, some cleaning and new hoses are going into my watercooling setup for more overclocking.

Chip markings:

Pentium 4 2.40C GHz 512k/800/1.525
SL6WF Costa Rica

I will update with new oc results later tonight. I just picked 250 MHz fsb as my first guess setting. I haven't tried any more or less volts nor increasing the fsb anymore yet. HT is enables as well.

hes not chip limited
hes mem limited i have same mem and can run at 3.2 ghz
my mem is pc 3200 ocz with the copper heat spreaders

the cpu will handle whatever he wants to throw at it but the memory will be his limiting factor in the end

Guess what guys....

3.20 GHz at 1.6v

I can't wait for my new top to come for my Maze3 so I can get back to watercooling. I hate using these retail hsfs.

I will keep trying for more. For the record, I didn't stop at 3.01 GHz b/c of any instability. It was the first setting I tried and it worked without a hitch. I am running my memory asynchronous....I will have to figure out what it is truly running at compared to the cpu.

Time to run some Aquamark and see if there are any improvements.

Are you running it synchronously? I had no idea the XMS 3200 could do 266. What kind of timings are you using to get it to run that fast?
Even all the 500MHZ mem can barely get up to 550MHZ (the article anand just did shows only 539 for the Corsair XMS 4000 TwinX, that's 268 @ 3-3-4-7) and with loose timings.

Maybe i missed something...

Asynchronous....it is running at 320 while the system is running at 265 right now, 3.2 GHz. Memory is running at 385 MHz.

I can run it at 3.2 GHz w/ 1.6v

I don't trust these retail hs/f too much....good for normal use, not too reliable for oc'ing. So, when my new top arrives for my Maze3, I will re-install my watercooling equipment and then see what this chip can really do.

yeah... mine can do 3.4 ghz @ 1.575 volts and that's with the board undervolting the vcore by a tad...
