Gotta love last minute taskings!

At about 10:00 this morning I get a call from my boss's boss

Boss: "Armitage, can you brief your project to Major General Smith this time tomorrow morning."
Armitage: "Uhm ... sure."
Boss: "Right answer. And by the way, our VP will be there as well."

Yee fscking Haw

Luckily most of the stuff I need was already in the can from other briefings - just some updating needed. I don't know what lit this particular fire - it's ussually impossible to get on this guy's schedule, and we've got him all to ourself for an hour! Should be interesting.

Last Friday was my last minute tasking.
At 2:30 I had finished my stuff for the day, and we were getting our servers upgraded at 3 so my day was all but done.
Out of the blue my boss wanted me to check some capacity issues we were having, which involved looking up some 300 different routes.

Tick tock had to get it by 3.

That sucked. I hate those last minute "Oh hey, do you have a minute".....
