Well when I left for school in August I reminded my mom to restart the computer sometimes because programs will leave stuff in memory sometimes, etc. So today I decide to login on VNC and check the uptime. 81 days and 20 hours. :Q Which corresponds to the day before I left for school, which is when I restarted the computer last. Atleast Win2KPro has the ability to actually run that long and still function.

Well I did have SETI running. However when I just connected on VNC the process was there but not doing anything. So, hopefully it's up and going again after a restart.

Me too. I shut the laptop down just because I don't want to leave it running all the time...it's already old. I turn off my desktop because if I leave it on it heats up the room and the thermostat for the rest of the house doesn't kick on as often during the night and it gets too cold in the master bedroom and my son's room.
I leave my work computer on almost all the time. I just log off when I leave for the day.
My computer I have here at school I have to keep running 24/7 or it won't work right. For some reason it has major problems starting up. Resets generally work ok, but sometimes I'll get BSODs. If I do cold boots I usually have to restart it several times to get it to load up Windows all the way. But it'll run full load 24/7 for weeks with no problems.

Yeah it's some sort of IDE.sys file that gives the BSOD. I upgraded my IAA (Intel Application Accelerator) version and upgraded to Win2K SP4, but it still didn't fix it. Oh well.
Oh I found it. The Win98SE computer in my basement has an uptime of 28 days and 6 hours. Not bad for Win98SE.

dclive can analyze the memory dump file to determine the exact cause.

Is it me or is giving your Parents tech support the hardest thing to do. My Dad drives me nuts with these questions, and has a hard time taking "I don;t know" for an answer. Maybe I am somewhat lucky b/c he is pretty tech savvy and used to be a programmer. He worked on mainframes and minis and always compares the PC to the machines he used to code for.
