Like it says, a little too much OCing and I blew out my old True380. I'm looking for a new unit in the 500W range. Output, regulation, reliability, and noise levels are the most important things for me; appearance is a distant fifth. Perfect unit would be the Seasonic S12, but they're just too damned expensive. Looking to spend $80-125 give or take; I'm flexible depending on how good a product is.

Tagan 480W: Great reputation, but a little older. $82.

Fortron Blue Storm 500W Another favorite that's getting a little long in the tooth. $92.

Antec NeoPower 480W Everybody's got an opinion on this one. I like the +-3% regulation on the positive rails, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. $110 shipped at ZZF.

Antec TruePower 2.0 550W This one looks phenomenal for the price, with the same regulation as the NeoPower but minus the PFC. Totally new, though, so I haven't seen any reviews. $110.

Any word on these units, or other recommendations? I'm looking to make a buy in the next few hours.

I don't know what you're overclocking but it's pretty safe to assume you don't need 500 watts. I would go with this Seasonic.

One of the best values I've found recently is the XClio 450 - newegg and a few other carry them. <$60. shipped from newegg. Made by Channel Well as most Antecs are and has a plethora of types of connectors - see its web pages.

I just picked up the Seasonic S12 for my new HTPC. I went for the 430W version. It should be plenty of power for more people. If you need more you can get the 500 version, but they are a little louder (not much considering the S12 350-430 are rated as some of the quietest ones still with a fan in them).

Also look at, CoolerMaster Real Power 450 ACLX or ACLY(more bling and active power correction). I like it for the Split 12Vs. Fortron Source also has great PSUs with split 12V rails.

Seasonic S12 or Super Tornado. The ONLY power supplies that are 80% efficient at 50% power draw.

The Neopower is a nice solid powerfull and stable PSU but is only 60%-65% efficient at 50% draw, that adds up to a fair amount of wasted $ over the course of a yr.
