They were purchased by Citrix beginning of last year to join their suite of remote access and administration products.
 
Yeah..it's nice..basically ssl VPN iirc...which is a pain to setup otherwise (IPSec, ssh, and such are so much more feasible in the home) like using ssl explorer or something.
 
And they are not spyware ridden or BS as you call it. Their marketing might be overly "aggressive" but it's a very solid product with very intelligent features, some of which might not be readily visible or apparent.

Makes setting it up so simple....I wish I had a WWW server that had enough bandwidth to let me have constant connections lik that🙁

I think he means they're kinda like X10. Maybe they have a fine product, but when every site you go to has a GoToMyPC popunder ad, it makes you think they're a shady company.

From a client perspective, there's not much that's easier to set up than ssl vpn: Open IE, point the browser to an https:// web address, and once there, log in. Done. You now have access to network resources.
