Gothic/Emo Title Characters??

For English I have to write a letter to Edgar Allen Poe as if I were someone else. I am going to use a gothic/emo character. I need help on deciding one. Batman has been used already, so hes out of the picture. I was thinking perhaps edward scissorhands.
