Pretty short for an RPG. Maybe they feel a shorter game is a better idea to maintain quality.

You could probably make it last longer, look how short Mass Effect is or even Bioshock was.

I hope all the skills actually work this time. I never even bothered finishing the last part of Gothic 3.

The modern gamer's attention span is decreasing, game companies realize this and that they can save money (by making a shorter game) while charging the same price.

I still replay my old RPG games, guess I'm not the norm, also I like to explore every part of the game and do every quest so I always take my time.

Same here. I'm definitely looking forward to it. G3 was pretty buggy, but once I got it tweaked to run decently on my rig I spent 30-40 hours on it I think.

I doubt there will ever be another Gothic that tops G2, but one can hope..

Same one. This is just a press release that the final cover art is done with features and other junk thrown in there. The cover looks just as bland as the original G3 cover IMO. It's really just a way to get more attention for the game.

Because we all know that length is directly proportional to quality and length should directly affect the price of the game.

Sometimes games can drag out unnecessarily, I'm all for epic games but I hate dull content, games like Grand Theft Auto are not necessarily long but you can spend hours upon hours on them because they are fun and they have stuff to do. Bioshock, the same, I replayed that game 5 times, because the game was very fun and not a drag.

P.D: Length has (most of the times) nothing to do with the amount of time and money spent developing a game and surely nothing to do with quality.
