The secret to not blowing your hand off....never close your hand around a firecracker.... It gives the explosion nowhere to go, so it will rip off a finger, etc... I've got a few friends missing them. :p

I'm too poor, let alone have the will power to drive 4 hours to Alabama to get firewworks

might make the 30 minute drive to wisconsin to fill up the forster after work.

i always go planning on spending 50, and end up spending 350

Picked up a small assortment from the grocery store, few spark throwers, smoke bombs, whistlers etc. Will be stopping at a tent on the way home to get some tanks and a few other things.

Never made it over to WI to get some of the good stuff this year, maybe next.

Nothing like 6 gross of bottle rockets (reg and screamers) a cinder block, and a propane torch.

Fill both holes with all the bottle rockets they can handle, hit the wicks with the torch (dont have to do all just a few on each side and they will light the others upon take off), run away fast, and you have one of the coolest fireworks show for cheap :D

Nope. I don't waste my money on that crap. I've out-grown them or something, because they don't even tempt me anymore.

Yeah, I've got mine. In WI, we can own anything, but we can't legally use them.

No fireworks, but I have some 100ft of fuse, some common household items, some rifle powder (for reloading cartridges) and some black powder. So I suppose that if I got really adventurous, I could have some. But I think I'll stick to just rifle-plinking stuff this year.
