GOT VOODOO 3? 2000 PCI for 31.63 after PM and rebate

Well I thought with all these Voodoo 3 deals around, i might bring you even better one
Onvia has Voodoo 3 2000 PCI for 86.63
Price match that with staples (SKU=47121) and use $25 of $75 coupon available elsewhere to bring the final cost after rebate to 86.63-25-30=31.63
Note during pricematch dont give up to their claims that Onvia sells refurbished equipment. This is a brand new retail package as mentioned in the question below the item on onvia's site. Also if they will tell ya that Onvia doesnt offer free overnight delivery, dont give up still, because onvias delivery is free(may not be overnight), but on Staples site, under the product delivery it says Delivery within 7-14 days, so they dont offer overnight delivery either.
There ya go peeps

I think Amazon and buy.com both have it for around $80-85, and some people said STaples wont PM Onvia.

Of course they will pricematch Onvia. THats how I got my 5-port Linksys switch for $15. They will however be reluctant to pricematch anyone, you just have to be persistant and not give up. Mention that their policy says pricematch anyone. Especially if onvia is essentially also office supply store

Oops, forgot to mention, the problem with amazon or buy.com is that they dont offer free shipping and Staples will add $5-$10 bux to your order. So if you choose to stick with amazon, its better to gto for Voodoo 3 3000 offer listed in other threads because of their $20 of $100 coupons

I've never tried to pricematch anything myself but it seems like these stores give everyone a really hard time when they try to pricematch something. Isn't there any kind of consumer complaint department or something? If you have to twist their arm to get them to honor their own policies it seems something is terribly wrong. Havent there been class action lawsuites based on less than this?

It depends on who you talk with whether you get the pm. But people have reported that csrs have been instructed not to pm onvia.

Staples PriceMatch Policy
Policy:
If you find an identical item with a lower price, now or within 14 days of your purchase we will gladly match the price. The item must be in-stock and available for purchase from the competitor.

Onvia is a office supply store oriented generally towards a business. So it is a competitor.
No matter what kind of bullshait Staples CSR give you they must stay within the policy and if you persist they must give you the item at the competitors price.
"We dont pricematch onvia" is just another trick to weed out weak-minded customers who think, oh well, easy come easy go. I was told the same old story when I tried to pricematch the Linksys switch. The lady told me oh no we dont pricematch onvia because they sell refurbished items and asked me to prove that onvia sells brand new item. In turn I told her to call onvia and find out for herself, which she did(I was on hold). Then she told me that onvia doesnt stock its own items, to which I told sure it does, call em 🙂 Plus Staples gets the orders out of Ingram Micro wherehouses(which is why the 7-14 day shipping date for the Voodoo).
Anyways, CSRs must try to slip out of the pricematch, but If you, the customer, persist you will get it. Those reports of Staples not pricematching Onvia came from the other bunch, those customers who gave up.
NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER 🙂
NO PASSARAN

Of course they WILL pricematch Onvia BUT they will only do it if Onvia's shipping is FREE. If not, they will add Onvia's overnight shipping fee into the pricematch. They ONLY do this with 5 digit Staples Items and not the special order or IM Item #'s. On those items they add the regular shipping rates listed on the site.

I had a LONG conversation with Staples about this pricematch rule. There are CS reps that will just do it without checking though.

The rule of thumb is - keep calling back when you get shot down. There are hundreds of different reps in 2 states that answer the phones at Staples.com

I LOVE STAPLES,
Glenn (TV Doc)
