I've opened up two Battlefield 2142 servers and it would be great to see some ATers around there :) They're both located in Seattle, Wa. Here's the info on each:

24/7 Urban Maps Only (64 Players, Ranked): 209.160.42.88:17567

24/7 Titan Maps Only (48 Players, ranked): 209.160.33.132:17567

Hope to see some of you guys around there :D If you play on the server just send me your soldier name via PM and I'll get you a reserved slot. If you want you can toss in [AT] as your clan prefix so we can more easily squad up.

Any bumps would be appreciated!

Thats awesome!!

Thanks, I have been hopelessly addicted to BF2142 since beta.

I don't notice any adds, where are they?

Actually thats the first thing I did was google BF 2142 Ads, and read the article.

As I said I have not noticed the billboards at all (paying attention to the actual gameplay is a bit more important for me :D )

From the screens that I have seen of the ads, it looks like they are BF 2142 universe propaganda style place holders for the real ads.

Until the "real" ads kick in I can't honestly say how distracting it is.

Its not that evil I guess, I mean EA doesn't charge a monthly fee for keeping track of our progress and storing our unlock data on their end, you can't get something for nothing.

It does have ads, even though for a lot of players they're very limited (more than 90% of my billboards are fake ads). I hated Valve's implementation of ads into CS 1.6, but I don't mind the ones in 2142 at all. As long as they're well done and well placed I don't mind them at all. The more money they make from a game the more money they'll be willing to invest in it and future games, it's a small price to pay imo.

Nobody I know has seen a "real" ad. Plus, there aren't any forced ads that make you look at them before you can do stuff. If by some how they are generating income with their current "ad system," then I am all for it. It has not hindered gameplay one bit

Thanks for resorting to a personal attack.

1. 2142 is just Tribes 2 warmed over.
2. There are ads.
3. For $50 and the minuscule amount of development effort than went into it, I'll skip the ads, thanks, "tard nuts"

I haven't even noticed the advertisements. Most of the urban billboards appear to be fake or are promoting some fictitious company/product from the future of 2142.

How about an ATOT clan?

Don't know about an official ATOT clan, but as Qosis suggested just throw [AT] clan tag on :p

Except for a very small sparsely placed "Battle Tested: Core 2 Duo" billboard that blends well with the scenery. Now this is enough junking up his thread. From this point on lets stay on topic and stop cr*pp*ng his thread4
