GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 4 MX460 or a Radeon 8500

I`m building a system for a friend.Newegg doesn`t have the radeon 8500 in stock.I have the 8500 myself and love it.I`m getting him an Abit TH7II,like mine, and he also must have dual monitors.I heard this was a good card too,but wanted some oppinions. Thanks

radeon 8500. they never even should have produced the mx460. ti 200 is cheaper and faster.

the mx440 i think isnt a horrible choice, because well i have one, and well they are like $80. but the mx460 is nearly 150. i think the radeon 8500 is far faster but like $140 for a non LE. maybe you can get him an LE one, or if you wanna go really budget get a mx440. you dont need a DVI adapter for that LE, because its a dual head card, so it has one analog and one DVI. you only need the adapter if you want to use two analog monitors. i think compgeeks sells those adapters, or you could try fs/ft

He`ll be hooking up dual analog monitors. What`s the difference between a LE model and non-LE?

Radeon 8500, no question about it. It's a clearly superior card straight across the board IMHO.

Difference between LE and non-LE.
Clockspeed 275/275 vs. 250/250.

IMO, the Radeon 8500 is the clear winner between those two. It has better 2D, better dual monitor support, and will hand the GF4MX card it's booty in games :D
