... And my curent system is too old gosh darnit! So then here's comes the question, what to get? I've done a bit of research and I think I a few good ideas I would just like a little bit of feedback before I visit the the checkout.

Current:
2500+barton
ASUS A7n8X dlx
1 gig pc 2700
9500 unlocked to 9700 pro
470 gig of hd space
old antec case
400 FSP-Fortron PS

What I'm wanting is a comp I can continue to game with, hook up to a projector (planning on using Zoom player pro with lots of FFDshow, burn way too many DVDs, watch "movies", browse too many internet forums, download way too many torrents (red vs blue ya know...). Here's what i got so far:

3700+ A64 venice core
ASUS A8R-MVP - kinda looking at DFI D-Ultra and Infinity Ultra as well
2 gig pc 3200 (found some with decent mem timmings, not too concerned witht his one as I don't overclock much at all)
either x800 GTO^2 or 7800GT
either the same hd or upgrade to all SATA with a nice 500 total
Antec P-180
like to keep same PS if possible. Only gonna be running one DVD-R
soundwise I'll just see what the onboard sounds like then maybe pick a SB so I can get optical out for some HT action

Well what do ya guys think. I'm not looking to go all out for my computer as far as my budget AKA no GTXs or 1900s, much less a $200 mobo as I really don't overclock much at all I just want something stable with Raid options and lots of USBs.

PS excuse the bad typing as I'm sure I made a mistake or two

Get a a cheap Chaintech mobo with one PCI-E X16 slot, they are pretty stable AFAIK. I would also get a A64 3200+ and OC it a bit, just to give you a little more power. Your video card will get you buy, but if you're interested, look into a 6600GT or 6800GS.

Never used Chaintech, just ASUS so far and so far good luck (started out with an A7V-333). I'll take a bit of a look into those though. Plus it has to beat my roommates comp and since hes got a 3200 I figured I needed to go higher (and I meant to say san diego core not just venice).
