got the OK to build multiple dual proc workstations. WOOT!! need some sugestions

if you want something realiable and speedy, by all means go with the Tyan boards. I wouldn't even consider anything else now that I've used them. Every other damn dual board I've used has had issues, or just plain sucked. Tyan's just seem to work, although they are finicky when it comes to RAM.

If your workstations need SCSI+ethernet, go for like a Tyan Thunderbolt or something. Either that or the Tiger 133 should be rather nice.

can't go with serverworks, personally i love tyan, tyan's kick butt. heh, I'me building a few, so maybe for one of the other's I'll try Tyan 😉

we're trying to keep these as low cost as possible. the other day, my boss nearly hosed the sys this'll be replacing.

What will be the purpose of these workstations? What is your budget? We'll kick up some systems that will make your boss proud.
