Just thought id let you guy's know i just got my new 2700+ running. WOW..... Ia'm only going by it's boot up speed, you can't read anything it goe's by so fast. I have the same problem Wiz had with his computer, in windows it reads 2100xp and ia'm at 13 @ 175 FSB, 2.275. just started a wu so well see 🙂 At 1.65 vcore watercooled, the BIOS reads 39 C, a little high but it's new so i think the temps will come down a bit. Guy's when i tell you this thing's fast..........it really make's my 2100+ at 1.8 seem Slow ILL post some times tomorrow, 😀 😀 😀

Motherboard is a ASUS A7V8X W\256 Megs Samsung, in a Gateway server tower case, 400w Antec truepower power supply, a cheapo pci video card, Dangerden cpu block w\ Ehiem pump, And Hard Drive by Evilwobbles 😀

Hi All, I just started a .414 wu so Hopefully in a couple hours. I have the buss at 180 now at 1.75 volts so its at 2.340 Gig. Temps are only 40 C so ill try 1.85 v. and go for 200 FSB 🙂 That would make it a 2.6 Gig 😀 The only thing i can't figure out is it still reports as 2100+ in windows properties.

P.S. This board must have some kind of PCI devider because at a 175 buss speed it says 175/33 and now at 180 FSB it says 180/35. I guess thats good for the stuff running on the PCI buss.

My 1600+ gets a .417 done in about 196 minutes when overclocked to 166/166 for 1750MHz. Scaling the result to your MHz level, if the relationship were linear, would predict a 2:26, but it could be the law of decreasing returns is setting in. Or maybe your WU is just extra chewy... what about running the Team Lamb Chop test WU? What are your RAM timings like?

Yeah we need to know RAM timings ,most important is being able to run at CAS 2-2-2 & enable 4way interleave 🙂

I didn't touch the ram timings. There set to the spd. There's also a jumper on the M/B that ia'm not sure of. ROMSIP1, THE Book says this jumper is to select the best timing for the cpu to enhance performance. The jumper's set for reliability, Hmmm
 
Best bet would be to set the timings manually to CAS 2, the board may be conservative on the timings unless you set the aggresive timings by hand.

What does SisSoft Sandra say? It is the best indicator of how exactly the rig is running.
