Got superglue on Sunglasses?

I was fixing a nose piece on a pair of sunglasses and I accidently got superglue on the lenses themself. What can I use to remove the glue without damaging the lense?

Lenses are plastic.

try wetsanding with a high grit sandpaper...like 1500 or 2000. Then buff it out.

Hmmmmm....

they're ruined.
Let me know if I'm wrong, but AFAIK, the solvents that remove superglue will also disolve your lenses. If you're really lucky, maybe the non-acetone nail polish remover would work. Try to figure out a way to test a solvent on some other plastic before you ruin your sunglasses further.

Acetone will probably marr the plastic. Depends on what kind it is.

You might be screwed. If you're lucky, the acetone-free nail polish remover won't hurt the plastic. At this point, you've got nothing to lose.

You can try acetone, but since superglue fumes damage plastics, I'd say your sunglasses are ruined.

Nope, those sunglasses are going to be stuck to your face forever

Seriously, though, I expect that the superglue is there for good. Any solvent that will remove the superglue will eat the plastic. You might be able to remove it with a nail file or something but I'd start looking for a new set of sunglasses.

Nail polish remover worked without ruining the plastic.

BTW: These are my girlfriends glasses that she got and paid a buttload for while in Seattle. Not easily replacable.
