Got some cheap alcohol?

Tried it on Popov's crap vodka and I gotta say it was a bit sweeter and smoother, but definitely I felt even Smirnoff still tasted better?
 
I think it's been posted a few times here. But it definitely works. I've tried it and several of my friends do it regularly. It makes Skol drinkable (to others b/c I can't stand vodka).

If you're going to do it, I would dedicate a filter to it. Your water will taste like crap if you don't.
 
The problem with this is that it's still going to be a grain alcohol, just one with no flavor. A good vodka (that's distilled from potatos) actually has quite a bit of flavor, though some don't find it particularly pleasant. This still might be useful for making hunch punch though, if you're into that sort of thing.
