For those that don't know what this is, I didn't either until the guy showed up, it's basically letting them hook up monitoring devices to your tv and internet to track what you watch. You do get paid and I believe we were told $300 up front and $30 a month.

The guy must have came by 3 or 4 times to try and get us to sign up. He finally caught us outside and I let my wife listen to his pitch while I did yard work. The moment she came to me to ask if we wanted to be monitored I didn't even think twice to say no.

After reading a few people's experience it seems to be a huge inconvenience with having to log in, being there if the equipment failed and every tv and your internet router connected to huge tracking devices and wires everywhere.

I've always wanted to be a Nielsen family. I'd like to be paid to have TV station show just what I want to watch (helps cancel shows I don't like and helps keep shows that I like on air).

They just pay us 30 bucks every so often to fill out a survey. Don't even have cable anymore but I just fill out that I don't watch tv. They send 6 5dollar bills in the envelope too...

Smart. I actually filled out the damn survey - nevah again. Well, I guess I would if I got 30 bucks like BudAshes.

I wonder if it is different by the state you live in? I haven't gotten one since we moved from CA to AZ. Although maybe they just don't have our address anymore and someone is just taking the money. Always thought it was weird that there was just straight up cash in there.
