Better yet, post the number on the internet and hope that LOTS of people call it.

Been there. There's not a lot you can do legally if you didn't pay by cc. Paypal and eBay are pretty much useless for these kinds of things and the police very likely won't do anything for you. Sorry. There's always a certain amount of risk when you're buying off eBay - and sooner or later just about everyone gets ripped off.

If you used a credit card, do a chargeback.
If you didn't use a credit card, then learn to deal with life without the $360, because you're never getting it back.

eBay is called shopping around. This was to purchase a new laptop that had come out. It was only being sold by Gateway (I know, but I really wanted a cheap tablet) and Best Buy. It couldnt be found anywhere else. So saving $80 sounded good to me.

That would be funny. Do you guys think I should do that? Would I get in trouble at all from anybody? or the mods?

Everybody who is saying that I was stupid to buy this:

People frequently sell gift cards at good discounts on eBay. The deal wasnt too good to be true. But, I do agree it was stupid of me to do. As I said in the OP it was late at night when I did this and I wasnt thinking right. I guess the lesson te be learned is to stay alert when using eBay and make sure you look over every detail. Dont jump on a good deal.

I guess my best option is to try to call the cops and see if they will do anything. Also, I might call PayPal and try harassing them into doing something.

I have already filed with the online FBI internet fraud thing, but I doubt that does anything.

I dont know if the credit card company will help now. I think... might be wrong... that the minute you do a chargeback/file a dispute thru PayPal/Ebay, you give up rights to use the Credit Card companies. Already getting a partial refund will not make the credit card companies in a hurry to get involved.

I am curious to see how this works out, though... OP don't forget to update.

And Good Luck.

This is what I get when I try to do a reverse phone # lookup " The phone number "removed" is a Indianapls, IN based phone number and the registered carrier is Cellco Partnership Dba Verizon Wireless - In. However, due to number portability, some numbers have been transferred to a new service provider other than the registered carrier."

Does anybody know of a place where I can do a free reverse number lookup that will get better results?

And about filing with the FBI, I did that too for a laptop scam i was victimized in 3 years ago and it hasn't done anything yet. But that was international.

This is the Gateway CX2610 in case you are wondering. And they had it on sale at the time.

Called a couple times tonight with no answer. I have a final on Friday and I guess I should concentrate on that. I guess I will get back on this next week by calling the Indinapolis police on Monday.
