OK, i ordered an IBM deskstar 30gb for 99.99 and it was a scam. They never sent me the drive and they charged my CC the same day i placed the order. I called them, their # is always busy but i finally reached them and they said my money was going to be returned. But that never happened. This has not just happened to me. According to reseller ratings, they've scammed quite a few people. I'm about to start disputing the charge with my CC company. Anyone ever did this? I've never been scammed by an online retailer before. Will i ever get my money back? Anyone ever dispute their charges and get their money back? How does the process work? Thanks.

That sucks :| Which company was it? You should be able to dispute the charge with your CC company and get your money back. You should also file a complaint with Better Business Bureau. If you get a chance call the company back and tell them about your actions. Also, some cities have local TV channels which help out with such matters. Good luck.

i'm sorry to hear of your bad situation... and the situation varies depending on what the online protection policy is of your credit card. the credit card website or customer service will probably tell you how they handle internet fraud. usually, there is a form to fill out to dispute charges. in general, if they charged your card and didn't or won't deliver the product you should be protected. for the most part, it seems that credit card companies protect the consumer more than the business. good luck...
