got problems windows won't install the driver 4 my sata

I got my laptop working again but there is a huge question mark over my mass storage controller,I have tried using the drivers from gateway but they haven't helped

did you try installing in safe mode?
I'll check on the drivers and see if there's something that was overlooked.
