Got permanent marker(red sharpie) on my coolermaster aluminum case

Not exactly sure how the hell it happened but there is a big red line on the side of my case i need to get rid of.

Make something out of that line with the same marker and maybe it will turn out to be something cool 😱. Or yeah, try rubbing alcohol to remove it.

Yes. Post a video too.

Yes, rubbing alcohol. It is less likely to remove the finish than the acetone in nail polish remover.

Go buy a red dry erase marker. The kind you use on one of those whiteboards. Then scribble over the permanant ink with the dry erase marker. Then wipe it off as easily as you would the dry erase ink.

I agree. Ink from a permanent marker isn't likely to actually penetrate the aluminum like it would with fabric, so it should wipe off fairly easily w/alcohol. In the unlikely event alcohol doesn't work, you might try hair spray. Laugh if you will, but hair spray does dissolve some ink on clothes, so it might work. And it should be less harsh on the metal than acetone.

And lighter fluid is a third option I'd prolly try before acetone.

Not laughing here. Hair spray is about the only thing that will dissolve ball-point pen ink on clothing. A can of Aquanet sits right next to the Tide on our laundry-room shelf. I don't know how it works on Sharpie ink, though.
