I went to the microcenter and asked about RAM they had on sale. He took me over to a bin of Corsair 2GB kits. They're 2x1 of 6400 5-5-5-12 RAM for 119.99 or something like that.

I got myself two kits, and now I mailed in the rebate of 35 dollars for one of them.

I thought you guys would like to know about it, you can order it and get the same deal. It's going on until Sept. 30th.

1 rebate per person, per household, etc etc.

It runs beautifully, but I had that whole vista x64 4GB+ issue, and had to install the patch.

It works now though, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I run BF2 on full graphics at 1280x1024 at 2x AA with no slow downs, I may try 4x tonight.

That's on an AM2 4200+ and a stupid 7600gs. NICE.

Corsair rocks my socks off.

NewEgg has the 4-4-4-12 kit for less ($70 or so after rebates). You can also get Crucial Ballistix 4-4-4-12 kit for the same price, though the voltages are higher.

I bought the 5-5-5-12 kit last year and it does 4-4-4-12 at 1.9v. Good kit. On the other hand, I heard they recently changed their modules...
