Got myself a wavebird yesterday...

and I have to say, it's one of the best investments I've ever made for my gamecube. 😀
No more wires whatsoever for my system, unless I'm playing multiplayer games, and even there I'm looking to replace the rest of my controllers with wavebirds too. Response is perfect, just as good as the wired counterparts. That right there suprised me... I was expecting some kind of lag in the response time but there is 0 lag whatsoever. Anyone who owns a gamecube needs to pick up a wavebird ASAP.

Wavebirds are nice ThaGrandCow, but I miss the rumble feature 🙁

Honestly, I could care less about rumble... in the end I realized how pointless it really is and playing without it is exactly the same as playing with it.

Logitech make wireless controllers for the PS2 and the xbox. They have the rumble feature but if you use it, you'd better have rechargable AAs because it will eat them up. I have the PS2 controller and love it.

I'm 6'6" with large hands so the wavebird (and all the other gamecube controllers I've tried so far) is a bit small for me but I know my brother loves it. It's very high quality for a low price! No reason not to get one if you own a gamecube....

Wrong.

You know rumbling is just the pad vibrating right? It's not force feedback or anything.

With some games the rumbling is part of the game play, the fishing game in Zelda was the best example of this. Its a necessity for one of my PS2 games too, lets you know when your close to the edge of a dropoff.

What do you consider force feedback? Most (all?) consoles have varying degrees of rumbling, so you can feel the difference between firing a pistol and launching a rocket.

My bad, I thought it was like the Logitech Wingman RumblePad I use on my PC.

Sorry.😀
