Got a 2.4B from Googlegear (even though I hate 'em) since people had luck with them. Thought I'd post some #'s here to compare with others and so when I put it together and lose the box I can reffer to it. Now to get my new Mobo (BH7 $92 @ newegg) I'll post my results as soon as I get my parts all in and put together.

ProD Code: BX08532PE2400DSL6EF
FPO/BATCH: 7247A539
Version: C10670-002
Pack Date: 02/08/03

and this is a retail unit if that means a thing...

to me there are to sets that stick out "C1" and the "SL6EF" If I remember right those are both good.

anyone see anything else in their cryptic code that I should turn my attention toward.

What motherboard are you going to run that chip in EXman? And YGPM about your FS/FT thread!

You got a week 47 chip from the Phillipines. Phillipines chips overclock quite well. Good luck. :)

2.4B's are awesome. the more I push mine, the more it goes... no problems at all.. it's one hell of a good value right now!

I have an SL6EF too. running 2.88 GHz with EASE! :)

Just a lil update taking me awhile and some Hotter temps but I have 18x167 stable for my chip to just barely get over 3Ghz! :D I did bump the voltage by %5. Mbm5 shows 1.55 volts. My temps seem to be very high 48 to 52 degrees cel!! trying to get MBM5 up and going to double check the temps just cannot figure out the settings for my BH7 yet.

As 3ghz seems ok I think I will move my volt back down to stock and see if my chip will still run. I think my Zalman 5700 kinda sucks for OCing. I am used to having lower temps with my AMD with an Alpha on it. I just don't want to mess around with a bolt on HSF. Anyone reccomend a clip on heatsink that is still a good one for Overclocking.

{EDIT} my chip will not do 3Ghz with default voltage :( Blue screen. bummer I need a new HSF...

The Thermalright SLK-900 will fit on the BH7 without bolting it on (standard clips). It's reviewed as the new king of air cooling. I have it and a 2.53b coming Tuesday. CPU from googlegear, and HSF from NewEgg.

I'm obviously hoping for a C1 and a hefty O'C..:D

Yeah, over at overclockers.com when sorting the o'c database by speed, it looks like the SL6EF (Costa Rica) are the highest o'cing 2.4b's, (a few at 3.8, 3.6) followed by the SL6EU. Here I thought 2.93 on my original 2.4b was good. I guess that's about all it was.

My current Intel RMA replacement (the original died after 3 mo.) is even more of a dog. 2.8 tops. It's a B0 stepping and it's going to live out the rest of it's days in my 65 year old neighbors rig come Tuesday.

I hope the POS is happy at it's stock 2.4. It doesn't deserve to be o'ced ;)

Anyone running the 2.4b SL6RZ??? I have 2 2.4b SL6RZ Costa Rico Week 52 1.525 Vcore.

1st running on Asus P4B533-E, Samsung 512MB PC3200, Alpha 8945. currently running 3240(180*18) at stock Vcore - idle 33C/Load 51C

2nd running on Albatron 845PEpro, Corsair 512MB XMS3200LL, Alpha 8945. currently running 3510(190*18) at 1.55 Vcore - idle 33C/Load 52C

I have booted 2nd setup as fast as 209fsb. Stable at 195fsb and will try to stabilize 200fsb after burn-in for 48 hours of Prime95...

SL6EF I got about 5 weeks ago can't touch these speeds...

You must be referring to a different thread. I don't see "a bunch of ppl whining..." in this one.

Worst...best....it's all a luck of the draw, don't you think? And hardware setup.

Damn, nice chip... :) I'll have a SL6RZ soon, hope it gets close to that. If you get that thing stable at 200FSB, you'll be like a year ahead of Intel. :D
