I have got my new computer today. It has the nice-looking Thermaltake Tsunami Dream VA3000BNA case. Black, the colour of all cool computer cases, and without the annoying window! I honestly don't know what people see (no pun intended) in windows showing the guts of their computers.
I'll be adding more information when I feel like it.

Built it yourself or already assembled when you got it? I have 4 systems that have cases with windows. ;)

Already assembled, from a list of components I selected from the shop's catalogue.

Indeed UV is great. Some people go beyong just putting it together. Some people dont see whats so great about building it in the first place. You'll learn!

Windows are only really impressive for people who actually know how to build computers and/or are interested in it. I also have the TT Tsunami Dream, but I have the silver with window. Along with the included blue LED fan, I added a UV cold cathode to illuminate cables, which are all UV.

For me it's pride, I get to show off what I have put together as well as my (sort of) impressive wiring job.

It's loud, my my friend has 4 80mm fans on his case, and the Tsunami (with window) matches in noise. If you're want a quiet computer, be ready to replace the fans and/or get a fan controller. I didn't want to deal with a fan controller, so I bought 2 120mm Antec Tricools which have 3 speeds built in and unplugged the side fan.

Lets see some pics of these rigs......

Here are some quick pics that I took.
Sorry, my camera gets grainy when its dark, but the flash gets rid of the case lights.
I case you're wondering, that's my Sandisk Cruzer Micro on the top USB and a Saitek Gamer's Keyboard.

If you can...
Choose a low ISO speed and open the apature as much as you can. This will enable better SNR than high ISO. Make sure you have a stable platform for the longer shutter speed.

or...

Lowest ISO and close the apature. You will definitly need a tripod. Shutter speed will be extrended. Trial and error here can produce some very nice images of your nice case.

I like the keyboard except I would think the letters themselves lighting up would be more practical?

When I have my computer set up the way I want it too, I'll get some better pics and probably put it into my sig. Those were just some quick, crappy pictures that took me less than a minute to take.

Yes, the if the actual letters lighted up, it would be much more practical, but I knew they didn't before I bought it. The lights are only for looks, my screen lights up the keys enough so I can see them anyway, plus the keyboard matches my case and I really like the programmable command pad. I also love the feel and quietness of the keys, they aren't as mushy as Logitech's keyboard (the one they package with the MX700)

EDIT: if you want a keyboard with more practical lighting, this is a possiblity. The only problem is that it has the size, shape, and feel of a laptop keyboard, unless you like it that way.

I don't see how people sleep with a super bright computer. But then again, there is a study out that proves that you don't get as good of sleep with a light on. So, just a little warning to all who have their computer in their room.

EDIT: I also have that same Saitek keyboard, they just released a new model with backlit letters a couple of weeks ago. Wish I had waited......

Looks really good. clean inside, and cool dual-color scheme. However, I took a second look at the pictures just now. Somehow, the inital awe is lost a bit... Somehow I felt a taint of gaudiness. Do you feel that way, Skyburn? Has the pride and joy of the project diminished at all? Nonetheless, this is a case well done.

I honestly don't know why people buy preassembled computers and then post about it on the forum. ;)
