Well after hours of hard work and toil, I finally got my machine up and running. Its great, but theres one small problem.
Windows XP woun't start up...
I am on Mandrake Linux right now. I have a Dual boot with Linux and XP. The setup is as follows:
120gb Master HD (Has windows XP on it)
40gb slave HD (Had mandrake on it)
When i start up the computer, i get the ASUS splash screen and then i get my boot manager. When I try to go onto XP there is a quick like 1/10 of a second blue screen of death that comes up. I can't read what it says, but the screen definatially flashes a blue screen with white text and then the system reboots. What the heck is going on?
Also, on startup my CDROM dosn't seem to spin up. It gives me 3 little grunts. I went into the BIOS settings and it said that my CDRW (cabled as the slave) was actually the master. What?? How can I fix this one also?
