That's how it worked out.
1) I bought it at Walmart at $499.00 and send rebated out.
2) I received a letter from Kodak stating they will not hornor the rebate because UPS code is not valid.
3) I returend the camera to Walmart
4) I bought anothher one at Staples B&M by pricing match with MicroCenter at $479 - $20 off coupon + tax = $480.
5) I received $100 from Kodak said they will still honor rebate.
6) I send the rebate out again with my wife's name.
7) I received the $100 today.
So, the total is $480-$100-$100=280.
LOL, :)

This belongs in Brag and Moan, since it is only specific to you and not a deal someone else can do. It is also somewhat of a fraud.

Shesssh, I love how people combine stuff to make their titles better:

DC4800 for only $75!
On my way to UPS to pickup my DC4800 I found a wallet with $300 on it, so the DC4800 only cost me $75....

My point: the two things have nothing do with each other

1. You made $100 by returning something that you had already submitted for a rebate (thats stupid for wal-mart to allow it but I don't doubt it)

2. You paid $480-$100 for a DC4800 from Microcenter, thats $380.

You did not get DC4800 for $280.

I agree with other things you said, but I think since he had a rebate rejection notice, he had a fairly legit claim that he can return the camera without UPC code.

Fraud may have been committed if he had gone into the deal with the intent to send in the rebate and then return the camera. He returned the camera only when he found that the rebate had been disallowed. His other actions are questionable and bragging about it here in any forum is not real smart.

Did he cash the rebate check after he had already returned the camera?
If yes then he committed fraud at that point.
