Hey all,
i just wanted to share my excitement with everyone about my new system. i had an Athlon 900 from my abit KT7-r system and moved that into the new Iwill kk266-r, but before i installed it i modified the L6 bridges to make it default to 700. I am now running 7.5x145!! this Kingston value ram isnt as bad as i though. i didnt think id make it over 133 with it! i also have 256 of crucial in there so maybe the kingston is playing "follow the leader"! all in all the system seems so much faster than the abit system even thought i had the Abit/tbird OC'ed at 1050. the higher FSB really makes that much difference!
aside from that, the Kyro II is a great card. I got Serious Sam going without any problems! and it ran smoooooooth. UTG also ran great but it didnt look that great. i just need to figure which 3d optimizations to enable or disable to make things look thier best...any suggestions?

well, i guess thats all the excitement for now, thakns for letting me "show and tell"

oh almost forgot...here are some benches from Sandra SE.

Cpu Multimedia

Numbers dont mean much, but if i got it, minus well test it :)

L6 bridges are what makes your cpu default to a certain multiplier. for instance my OEM 900 tbird was defaulting at 9(x100FSB) so i modified them to default to 7. if i left it at 9 and set the FSB to 133, the motherboard would read 9 for the first few clock cycles and not run the CPU at the set speed. But by changing it to 7, the motherboard thinks its a 700 Mhz, which mine can handle 7x133, and boot up prperly to allow the bios settings to take over. My cpu cant handle 9x133, but some may be able too.
read about it here at AT
