Got my GT to Ultra

Mrvile

Lifer
So anyway I clocked my BFG 6800GT OC to 400/1100, ran RTHDRIBL for like 20 minutes while monitoring my temps, never went above 70C so I ran 3DMark05 and score 5468, no artifacts. I have a 3500+ Winnie @ 2.6ghz, without the GT to Ultra I score like 5000 flat. I'm satisfied.

RTHDRIBL puts full load on the video card right? So if while running it I don't get above 70C, I can be assured that my video card will NEVER go above 70 right? Thanks!

yeah that is a nice score, that is higher than mine with an eVGA 6800 Ultra. My 3DMark05 score is 5172...

Wow 2Krazy nice OC! Are you using air cooling? I've only gotten mine to Ultra, not any higher (and probably not planning on it).

I get 5243 in 3dmark05 with 6800 gt @ Ultra speeds and amd 64 3000+ @ default 2.0 ghz speed and that is all housed in my little shuttel xpc. 😀

my eVGA does ultra speeds all day long.... and I know cause I've played NFSU2 some 8 hours in a day before @ Ultra speeds and not 1 crash or glitch 😛

at the default 2.0ghz whats your cpu score for 3dmark2005? how much ram and what speed is it running at? I barely get 5263 with my 6800gt at ultra, and i'm overclocked at 2.3ghz http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=437252

turn off FW in bios..

so I ran 3DMark05 and score 5468

Nice!

My Ultra will be here tomorrow... I am looking forward to it big time! 😀

I am hoping for a 500 point leap in 3D Mark 05' without OCing it.

Yes it puts a full load on it but it needs to run a good 1/2 hour , 70C in your current room temp.... a 5 degree warmer room can translate directly to 5 degrees warmer GPU temp depending on how warm it was when you tested.

I use a digital in-room thermometer (Radio Shack, $15) ..I use it in conjunction with everything else. After a certain temp ...around 70F the GPU does'nt get much hotter as the room temps rise or at least does not raise as quickly. But between 50F and 67F the GPU temps can vary quite abit with room temperature.
