Got my G4 ibook, I want to upgrade my mem, have a few questions

K, Im looking to add another 512MB or so, and need to know what brands are recommended, and what CAS i should shoot for. I know I need pc2100 SODIMMs but after that Im lost.

Sorry I can not help out, but would like to know...Is it really that slow with only 256MB RAM that you can not stand it at all?

its not that i can't stand it, i'd just apprectiate the extra memory. its a great system stock, but with a lil more memory it'll be that much better.

Definitely get more memory. OSX crawls with less than 512MB.

Crucial's good. Coast to Coast memory is where I got mine, cheap. More is better IMO as compared to less low-latency mem.

CAS timings, eh, haven't really looked into those.

I have been using Transcend in my Powerbook with no problems, Crucial also guarantees the RAM in your iBook, even though it's probably not the cheapest option.

256MB already installed, so you think another 512 stick? or even a 256 stick?
