Got my first ticket today...

Failure to completely stop at a stop sign. Was coming off the freeway and did one of those half-ass stops to turn right. Local PD saw the whole thing, just wondering what you guys think that will run? Im in CA btw.

i have yet to get a ticket in my 3yrs of driving 🙂 i got pulled over once for doing ~15 over at 2am, told the cop i never got a ticket before, checked me out, and let me off... whew!

This is my first time getting pulled over in almost 4 years of driving...I consider myself lucky. 🙂

It's always worth admitting you did it, but asking for a reduced sentence.

running red lights/stops is usually $270... it depends on where you got caught... i live in LA and thats usually what the fine is... my friend got caught by san bernardino and it was $120.

you can go to court and ask them to reduce it since it is your first offense and all.

damn, would the ticket cost around the same for running a red light? Buddy of mine got $430 for running a red...what do you think this one will be?

I would think that a stop sign would be less than a light, but I don't know how you wacky Californians do things. 😛

Edit: In my city it's $71 for "Disobeying a Stop Sign" & $101 for "Traffic Signal Disregarded."
