Only thing that kept me from getting my system to run at 950 before, was that windows didn't like oc'ed processor with jumperfree mode. I turned on jumpered mode on my asus a7v and bumped the voltage to 1.65. Now I'm running at 950mhz, with no hitches so far.
I'm using a global-win fop-38 (loud fan), and a copper plate between the heat sink and cpu. When I get some more thermal grease, I'll apply more because I have a pretty thin layer right now. Even with the thin layer, it's idling at 41 deg celcius.
