Don't taco those tyres Fatty! Decent bikes; I agree with you going the rigid fork route. Always been my preference too.

Hehe, I have a nice Cannondale road bike with Ultegra components. Two problems though. To be honest I am too fat right now to ride it right. Breathing isn't the easiest thing while bent over. Second problem which won't go away as I shape up is that a lot of the really nice rides are along the Erie Canal bike trail. Much of that is finely crushed stone. For the Treks it's fine, but 20c race tires are not going to last, and even if I got the armadillo versions, they would sink into the stone. Not fun at all.

Congratulations to you both. Trek bikes are awesome (I own two) and the sport of biking is phenomenal.
