Got my daughter AND me a new Trek

Trek 7300 for the daughter.



Trek 7500 FX for me.


I relented and went for the suspension for the daughter because she is a peanut, and it seems to operate nicely for her weight and I got the FX unsuspended because I figure that I would beat the crap out of it at 250 lbs.

Whatcha think?

Hehe, I have a nice Cannondale road bike with Ultegra components. Two problems though. To be honest I am too fat right now to ride it right. Breathing isn't the easiest thing while bent over. Second problem which won't go away as I shape up is that a lot of the really nice rides are along the Erie Canal bike trail. Much of that is finely crushed stone. For the Treks it's fine, but 20c race tires are not going to last, and even if I got the armadillo versions, they would sink into the stone. Not fun at all.
