I'm nearsighted(can't see far away), and pretty much have my glasses on every waking moment of the day. I've worn glasses for about 10 years now. I got fitted for contacts, and went with the one day disposables. The problem I'm having is my midrange eyesight is pretty fuzzy and hard to focus. My definition of midrange eyesight would be about 3 or 4 feet, pretty much the distance you'd sit away from a monitor. It's just not a crisp "image" and it's sort of a strain on my eyes trying to focus in on it. I can see fine reading a book a foot or two away from my face, but any further from that, and it gets hard to read.

From what I can tell, my long range ablity to see is fine. Did I just get perscribed the wrong strength or something?

wait until you are comfortable with them. Your eyes need to adjust. Personally, i HATE the daily wear ones. I got some free samples of the Accuvue daily wear and i ripped 3 out of 10. My old soft lens and the current 2 weeks do not do that.

Give it a few days before you decide. You are in the "break-in" period. :)

This, or you just need to adjust

You see your eyes are used to seeing through glasses, and now it takes a few seconds to focus wearing them, as opposed to everything always being in focus with glasses.

If you have astigmatism, as your doctor about toric lens, they are what I wear. If it doesn't get better in a week, I'd go back and check the doc again.

Good luck :)

my doc usually has me come back in after a week to ask me how they've been and to tweak the power if necessary.

yeah its normal...you might also have some night vision issues for the first few days. How much did you get your daily wear contacts for? I was gonna go with those but when I got my glasses a one year supply of daily wear costed around $800. Are they still that expensive?

I think I do have a slight stigmatism, nothing too serious though. I have an appointment next week to see how I'm doing.

The contacts are called Focus Daily's. I can get a box of 30 for $15, a box of 60 for $30, and 90 for $45.
