Today I finally got my XP 2500+! I know you're all wondering the stepping so here goes:
AQXEA 0323VPBW. Got the retail unit and a Vantec Aeroflow HSF, sadly this was the best I could find at the show. It seems solidly built and has their "TMD" fan (smaller center hub, quieter). Plus I picked up an awesome ViewSonic 17" professional graphics monitor for $40. Hopefully Asus can get me my mobo before I go nuts...

Edit: Thanks for the heads-up #2... I got me a pair of them already... :)

It was basically a blind pick of the bunch... the freakin AMD retail pack blocks the bottom line of the label on the CPU. First one I picked up too! :)
I'm getting too lucky, this has to last until I get my new rev 2.0 (I hope to hell) A7N8X Deluxe back from Asus. I blew the first one up:D OOPS...lol

Got it at a local computer show is the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Kinda strange, I got it from the same vendor as my 2600+ and my blown mobo :)

Oh trust me you will. ;)
It'll get to Asus on Tuesday, after a week or so it should be on its way back.

I have put 2 of neweggs into friends systems as of late. One was OEM and the other Retail, both were 0323 and both running @ 2.2ghz...w/ 11x200fsb @ default volts. They didn't seem to go any higher though even with VDD @ 2.8v and Vcore at 1.8v...still unstable any higher than 2.2ghz for both of them.

Well I got that itch to use the 2500, so I dropped it into my temprary rig (Epox KT266 board). Can't get it up to stock speeds because of the board but I'm at 150x11. For some reason it won't let me change the multiplier, but it's strolling along at 1.66 @ 38C. The Vantec Aeroflow heatsink has been a pleasant shocker, seems to be one hell of a chilling machine. I'm stuck using the cheap white goop because nobody at the show had Arctic Silver (WTF are they thinking?). In a week or two I'll actually be able to get this thing in the proper board and maybe make a swap with a friend for some Corsair RAM. (He'd be nuts not to trade me)

Ahh beast! Am I one of those friends your speak of? The OEM one? Mine is at 2300mhz stock vcore and vdimm

to get 2400 I have to go with 1.75vcore stock vdimm. Above 200fbs is shaky but I can get 210fsb ok but I have to have 1.75vcore.

Wait just reread your post you said both were week 23 mine is week 17. Another one got a Barton? Are they aqexa? if so that make 3 aqexa from new egg that don?t over clock past 2.2ghz. Mine is an aqdxa.

I'll have to take the heatsink off to get that. I'll post it later today.

I tried prying off the heatsink and there's a row of capacitors right by the socket interfering with the clip :(. When my board comes back I'll post the full stepping. I'm almost positive it's a downgraded 3200+.

No need to go through too much trouble... just wanted to know out of curiosity.
