Finally got my AZ11E! It's my second motherboard from FIC, the first being the SD11. The SD11 was a decent board, but the AZ11E looks a like a great board so far. The overclocking on this board is great. I'm waiting to get a Athlon CPU, but I got my 700MHz Duron to 950MHz easily! Now I really need a 1.2Athlon! =)

I got it online at TC Computers for 98.99, I think it was a pretty good deal. I checked out a lot of reviews before I bought it including SocketA.com which said the board was really good. So far it's been great. I'm going to really put it through the paces tonite when I bring it over to my friends Lan party.

I think FIC makes some of the best motherboards on the market. I'm still using a SD11 with a 750 SlotA but it's been put through the paces and works great. I've been looking at getting a AZ11 or a AZ11E, but with all the buzz about DDR I might go for the AD11 when it comes out....if I can wait. Anyways keep me posted when you get a Athlon CPU for the AZ11E.

Thanks!

I've had a few stability issues regarding my cd-rom drives with this board (az11E), if you experience this or have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

Cyberai,

Don't look at the AZ11, not one of FICs best mobos. It seems to do OK with Durons but not with Birds. The AZ11 had no overclocking capabilities, without modding the mobo. The AZ11E seems to have corrected the problems and reviews well. This mobo still uses the KT133 Northbridge (not the 133A) but it does use the 686B (ata100) South.

SD11's prior to rev 1.08 were also very buggy, but at 1.08 FIC clear up the problems.

SAet the dipswitches on the motherboard for your multiplyer and bios will take care of the rest.

I don't know about your experience but I have a Fic AZ11, I bought this while waiting for my bios chip from Abit and it is the most stable board I ever have owned, no oc/features but it runs flawlessely without crashing.
I had this thing running for 30 days without a hicup.
I was hesitant about buying it, only because my bad flash and I was on the spot, so it's all he had for Athlon motherboards. I did'nt want to wait so I purchased it and to my surprise it's quality all the way. I had it running with my promise ata 100 controller card and was thinking about keeping it over my Abit board except I need to fart around to keep myself happy.
