I get my new ATI 7500 yesterday to replace my Radeon 32 Mb DDR. Its a supergrace radeon 7500, only cost £83. I opened box and I actually got a proper ATI card which was cool. Plugged card in everything went well. Loaded power strip and the card is clocked at 270core 460mem, so I'd tried it at retail clock 290/460 worked great. Can i get a bios update to set it to same speed?. Next I thought I would try TV out, which seemed crap to be honest, not sure if i need to change settings.

Now here comes the bit that has confussed me. I thought I'd see how high I can clock the card, did the usual increasing core or mem speed and then testing it. I ended up at a core of 340 Mhz (I havent tried any higher) and a memory of 610Mhz (Powerstrip wouldnt let me go higher). The card runs at 340 Core and 610 memory, happily does 3d Mark 2001 loops. The overclock has increased my scores too, so would seem it is actually working at that speed.

I just dont beleive I am actually running the card at these speeds, is there anything I have over looked?, I am running Win 2K with an AMD 1700XP. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong.

Cheers

sh!t that's fast memory..

wow.. what kind of FPS are u getting in games? you're probably getting close to the Radeon 8500 with that kind of memory bandwidth..
