Hey i just got my P182 I wont be able to put my equipment in it until saturday but it looks nice. A couple of things

The instructions that comes with them suck but i can figure it out
I wish the motherboard tray was removable

So far those are my only gripes with the quick look over

One question i have is the fan in front of the power supply seem to blow air towards the psu. I dont quit understand why if i use the lower cage for the hard drive it seems as though i wont have any air blowing onto the hard drives. If i put the hard drive in the middle case then the front fan will blow onto the drive but i cant put the a fan on the cage to blow air onto the video card.
How many of you are using the upper 3.5 bays or are using the lower bays for your hard drives? i have 3 drives. Just want to know how you have your fans configured to blow air on what parts?

Um, that air the lower fan is moving has to come from somewhere. That somewhere being the front of the case. So it sucks the air over the drives. The biggest reason for this is that you can use a higher speed and still get less perceived noise since the fan is deep inside the case.

^ This is correct - the bottom fan pulls air through the lower front grill over the drives.

I have my two drives installed in the lower bays. I figured whatever noise they make is less noticeable that way, and it leaves more room for airflow in the top of the case. I installed a Nexus fan in the front slot, and replaced the top fan with one as well, so I'm running with 4, including the top, back, and lower bay fans. It's a pretty quiet system, and I've never had temperature problems. (This is all the original P180, but the layout of the new one is more or less the same as far as fans are concerned).
