Hello all,
I just ordered an Albatron 6800 Ultra from newegg.com for $599 (about $100 over msrp, but thats the price for being an early adoptor). Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has tested this card out with a 480 watt power supply, as that is what I have and I want to make sure it will be enough? My brand is Antec.

You're set. I ran a bfg 6800GT oc with a 300 watt psu and the ultra only uses a little more power (1.4v for the gpu vs 1.3v for the GT I think).

Nope. Now you have to return the card.

Why would you buy something for your computer and not know if it works, especially a 600 piece?

BTW, I was j/k, your powersupply is what is recommended. You have a nice PS and it should serve you well under that card.

Welcome to the forums 🙂

man, 600 bucks for a video card...i can't see slapping that much cash on something that will become outdated rather quickly. i guess if money is no object then good for you🙂

Now im a little afraid, ive got the trupower Antec 330 PS. I might have to upgrade when I save enough to buy a 6800.

Im running on my 300w regular Antec

2.6c @ 3.25
1gb
2 cd drives
74gb raptor
60gb 7200 rpm HD
6800 gt

my voltages are
12.00 @ 12.03
5.00 @ 5.05
3.3 @ 3.26

I know that my next power supply will Antec.
